Reading Activity - Animal descriptions

Objective: Develop reading comprehension and vocabulary related to animals.

Materials:

-Animal fact cards with descriptions and corresponding animal pictures

-Small baskets or envelopes

-YouTube song

Duration: 20-30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare animal fact cards with descriptions of different animals and matching pictures.
  2. Mix up the cards and place them in a basket or envelope.
  3. Divide the class into small groups.
  4. Each group takes turns picking a card, reading the description out loud, and finding the matching animal picture.
  5. After finding the correct match, the group can discuss the animal's characteristics or share any additional information they know.
  6. Continue until all the cards have been matched.
  7. Finally, you will listen to a song and you will have to sing it while reading the subtitles.
